Player of the game

Mark - Mark shone in goal with incredible saves, including a stunning face-blocker!

Summary

We started off strong, scoring nearly all our goals in the first quarter. Then, we started making some silly mistakes and didn't score again until the last quarter. It was our first game back after a break; we hadn't played together as a team in months, and I think it showed.

While I like to allow players to join and train whenever they like, I think it can be really frustrating for other players when they seem out of the know.

I think we shake this game off and try to come together and train together more often to avoid fustrating games like this in the future.

Some favourite player moments

Mark made some great saves. Some great shots from Jake

Some great saves from Mark.

Mark saving shots with his face again

Mark made some incredible saves, he came out of net loads as well though he probably shouldn't have had to. Defence in the shallow end was brilliant we really made them work hard.

Excellent saves from Mark and well done to Bella for keeping her composure after being elbowed in the face

Not fun at all, felt like a waste of an evening and have an incredibly sore nose to boot

Some really good blocks and tracking back we only lost a few goals to the counter attack.

I saw Driving by lots of diff players from around the pool was good to see. it really can create space for a pass or distract the keeper and players can get a shot away like jake at end of Q1

Dropping is good but we need to make sure we drop on the right people. Not leaving the big shooters free to walk in and pop shots away esp in shallow end goals.

Some great goals from jake and theo

First quarter was really strong.

More verbal/louder with shot timer updates from keeper/subs

We need to work on our game for narrow pools then we can spread out and not crowd the pit if that is our game plan. Half our matches are away we need to adapt our play style to match the pool.

Mark had many fantastic saves none more so than the one with his face. Theo put in a lot of hard work in the pit. A good game against a strong team
